2012-0203 Mr. Big Talker's Self-aggrandizement?
Mr. Big Talk/No Action proposes that the BOD violate their own bylaws by gratuously receiving adknowledgement for something they didn't approve, nor do.
Read his diatribe and you decide how he has tied himself in knots with his quest for self importance.

One of the most talkative ones seems to have limited time to actually do something for the community (other than lose, and get paid to replace, Town Hall signs.

With what seems to be the ultimate chutzpah, the Darned folk have decreed that Cam Gilmore's visit at their next meeting is "do internally" "information for us" and they aren't going to let you know!

Mr. Amplitheater, apparently, is near the river, on the flood plain, up Lolo Pass and wants you to pay a tax so there is a fund to keep him with a access and gas. The river ate the bank by his house and you should pay a tax to fix it for him. Listen to the meeting recording for specifics

Apparently, Mr. Amplitheather was taken to the wood shed. The County folk have "educated" him on how they must do competitive biding and can't just give County contracts to his friends

   "I am opposed to ODOT or any Government
    organization positioning themselves that
    they don't account to anybody."
2011-1229 Villages: Taunts the Community!

With the reduction in BOD size, it only requires 5 of the Directors to vote to remove one of them. Since the recording noted that one of the "less than stellar" Directors was told "the county can't award contracts (to your friends) without bid: it's illegal" and the Director kept on about it.....

"Karen Buehrig presented an update and overview on the County’s Transportation System Plan."
But, of course, the Darned folk won't give the community a summary or any information on it.
As the one Darned chair stated: "if you want to know what happened, you have to attend our (boring) meetings"

2011-1013 CYA: Bylaw Draft finally Available
Maybe the complaint to the BCC worked, maybe it is CYA, but 2 days before the Town Hall, the Darned folk secretly and without any publicity, posted a copy of the proposed changed bylaw. A copy is here
"......town hall meetings to give citizens an opportunity to identify, discuss and vote on community issues. The Board may designate town hall meetings can be held concurrently with any regularly scheduled monthly business meetings. All...."
2011-0824 Darned Folk Celebrate Success:

Apparently, the Mountain Express Bus is claiming 100K "rides". How many free passengers is not acknowledged nor how many are unique (i.e. is it mostly just 20 people riding to work every day). But to celebrate, you have to go to Sandy on 8/25.
Take the bus, that'll also help their stats.
2011-0815 Darned Folk have $2589.18 of Tax Dollars to Fritter
Having "paid bills" and received the "quarterly check" from the County, they have a this money to spend. For the "135 responses" they still need to pay Survey Monkey since they weren\'t competent to do it themselves.
2011-0810 County Charges for Villages Audios
It appears in order to discouage the community from knowing what the darned folk are doing, the County is now withholding records and then charging when you ask for the most recent records to be made available.
2011-0725 Are They Really This Slimey?
At the very bottom of the BOD's "agenda", not hilighted, in plain text, reads the item:
     "5:25 Town Hall"
with the sole agenda item:
      "A. By-Law Amendments".
=> there have been no such "amendments" published to the community, nor any minutes of last months meeting.
The only implication is that they feel they can better represent the community by
   "mushroom management"
i.e. keep them in the dark and feel them b**ls**t organic material

Apparently, the Villages folk have "selected" officers at their June meeting (no minutes or recording available). They seem to be:

At the December 6, 2011 BOD meeting, one of the BOD members, apparently summarizing the BOD's position on an ODOT action, said:
      "I am opposed to ODOT or any Government
       organization positioning themselves
       that they don't account to anybody."
It is truly a sad reflection on their integrity that, at the very next meeting, January 3, 2012, that Clackamas County Advisory Board schemed that the community should not be informed that Cam Gilmore, a key person in Clackamas County staff, will be attending the February meeting.

It seems that no one wants to play their game: they have two openings on the BOD, which would have been 4 but they snookered two newbies into being willing to be on it (they "volunteered" by not running away fast enough?)

So, rather than "solve the problem of community dislike, disrespect, avoidance, etc", they are, instead, trying to change the bylaws.

Apparently the meeting scheduled for Tuesday March 1, 2011 was canceled. Then it wasn’t. Then it was……

So maybe it will be rescheduled for tomorrow… or next week… or sometime.

"Discussion - Relevance of Board and continuation of Villages:"
1) Cluelessness - would "love the Villages to have a project to work on."
apparently they are "in control", "communicate with the county" but have absolutely nothing to do!
2) With nothing to do, the community should "trust them"
George Wilson said that the Villages need more faith and trust from the community.
Pat Sharp said she is concerned about the negativity continuing in the media.
3) no clue, no trust, but they need to be autonomous!
George Wilson said that he shares Doug’s feelings. He thought that the Villages Board is whittling away its autonomy.
the community finds the Villages Board to be irrelevant,
County does not respect the Villages Board.
4) Don't attend the next Town Hall (should there be one)!!!
Mr. Amphitheater's gives his word: next Town Hall, and if more people do not attend the events, then he will be resigning from the Board.
5) Gotcha! They will make all BOD meetings be "Town Hall Meetings!"????
Board of Directors meetings also as Town Hall meetings???
Since they are irrelevant and no one shows up once a quarter, let's do it once a month??
6) Clueless, not doing anything, no one shows up to vainglorious them, no one want to waste time a the meetings so...
