Villages Fumbles, Again

In an action worthy of Soviet countries, the Board of the Village and the County somehow "neglected" to let people know when and how to file for the 4 Board positions coming up for vote in May.

Somehow the
     County web site never got updated since early March,
     no notices were posted,
     nothing in the April edition of the Mountain Times,
     nothing in the Sandy Post,
     no emails,
     no announcements,
     no nothing.
Not even a word from the Board members attending the CPO meetings in April!

Surprise, surprise, somehow the deadline was known and applications filed by the 4 incumbents, or, as they stated in the December Annual report to the Commissioners, the "united body of community friends" (see full document or the 2008-1205 Meeting Page).

The plan stumbled a bit when one non-crony happen to ask the county the day before the applications were due and got one in on time... but, of course, (spin, spin, spin) that just "proves" they didn't actually "prevent" people from filing. They'll get their good friends from their failed Amphitheater project to take care of the upstart, just like they took care of other board members who didn't toe the party line.

You might want to ask the Commissioner Candidates at the Saturday May 17th Town Hall or at other venues how they intend to clean up this hive of deception and ineptitude.

Also, make sure to vote in this phony election but do not vote for any incumbent (you don't have to cast 4 votes even if they imply you do.)
