MT HOOD CORRIDOR CPO MEETING MINUTES Date: August 2, 2007 A REGULAR MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER AT 7:00 PM Welcome and ReportsTreasurer’s report: no activity OLD BUSINESS Old Business NEW BUSINESS FILE 70542(43)-07 Malcolm & Janeen McAnninch, applicants FILE 70521(22,23)-07Douglas Vaday, applicant Action: Community members in attendance voted to support the application with added comments related to potential future removal of large boulders; restoration of native vegetation; and enhancement of riparian habitat in coordination with ODFW. Members also recommend that applicant monitor long-term impacts to assess the effort’s effectiveness. A public hearing is scheduled for August 23. FILE 70472(73,74)-07Robert Baker, applicant Discussion: Reviewed and discussed application. Concerns were expressed over absent, unclear or confusing information in the application, the nature of this proposal as preventative without current damage or need for stabilization; and the potential negative impact on a valuable side channel near the work site. A Pace engineer was present to answer questions. Action: Community members in attendance voted to submit comments related to any remaining inconsistencies as well as restoration of native vegetation and enhancement of riparian habitat in coordination with ODFW.
