Another Resignation, "Let's Shrink the BOD so only we can be on it"
Rather than solve the problem of community distrust, they propose to shrink so they can continue "doing their thing".

BOD Application Made Available Upon request, the "real" application was made available.... In a fit of non-community service, the Villages of the Darned folk decided to publicize one and only one solely commercial business on their "activities" page.

The minutes of the May 13th meeting and a copy of the County Main Street Presentation have been made available... the day after the meeting where the community might want to provide input... As the former chair noted: "if you don't attend (silently) the meeting, you aren't allowed to comment (later)." This is pretty slimey in my view. According to the minutes of 2010-0406: "neither the County Liaison nor the Recording Secretary could attend." but the illustrative minute-manglers will tough it out. (might want to listen to the podcast of the 2/11 meeting at about minute 50 and the follow up) How the Villages folk do "action"?

He seems to be particularly incensed that a third party was involved in the arms length relationships to protect the environment. BCC Advisory Board - Villages at Mt. Hood BOD, audios are now available from the County. ...it only cost me an appeal to the District Attorney and a check to to pay for these "public records"... According to the the minutes of the July 1 Bored Meeting (click here) the "keep our money local" Villages Cronies hired the daughter of the person who controls the resources applied to the Villages. Apparently the County Legal Beagles thinks nepotism is fine. 2008-0108: Still no apology from Dougherty/Reeves/Applegate/Roth for the "silently" changing agendas, incomplete agendas, hidden (important) agenda items, (see Jan 8 mtg, Dec. 4 mtg, Aug. 21, 2007, and a commentary. => since they are stonewalling and unrepentant, one might conclude deceit. |
