Draft of Policy #010 as handed out at Dec. 11, 2008 work session:

Purpose: Define timeline for application process and election to the Villages Board of Directors

Scope: none

Policy:
  1. Application for the Board of Directors will open the first Monday in January and
  2. be accepted through the final Friday of February.
  3. Application will be reviewed by the
      a) Villages at Mt Hood Board of Directors at their March meeting and then forwarded to
      b) the Board of County Commissioners for approval of candidates.
  4. BCC approval will take place in April.
  5. Approved candidates will participate in the May Board of Directors election .




- All BOD meetings should be open to the public and must be announced with an agenda, on the web site and in the library at least 7 calendar days prior to the day such meeting is to be held.
    - There is no requirement that any materials be available prior to the meeting but may be requested under Oregon public meeting laws but I have not had any success with that approach
